PASSANT"S LEMON DROP ROLLS


Lemon Drop Rolls:
Rice:
¾ cup of any Short grain rice “ fancy name for the Egyptian rice “
1 cup Water.
1 tea spoon salt
1.5 table spoons vinegar
1.5 table spoons lime or lemon juice
2 table spoons of sugar
Method:
Boil water
Wash the rice
Add rice to boiling water
When the rice absorbs water and puff up
In a spate pan add vinegar, lemon, salt, and sugar
Bring it to a simmer till the sugar dissolves
Then add it to rice
Turn off the heat and cover the rice so it will absorb the vinegar.
Filling:
½ avocado sliced thinly
1 cucumber sliced thinly
Crab processed fingers
Nori
Method
Wet your palms with water get a hand full of rice ( cooled of course )
Spread it on ur bamboo mat ( covered with plastic wrap)
Add ¼ strip of nori sheet (damp)
Add cucmber
Add avocado
Crab fingers
Then slowly presses as u roll the rice and filling
During the rolling, press with the bamboo mat to ensure its compact
Then with a very sharp knife dip it in water and cut the roll in half
Then dip it again and cut the half in half and so on ..
Wrapping
About 200 grams of smoked salmon
Cut it into thin slices and then wrap a thick layer around it.
And that’s it!! :D
